It’s enough to make you weep! WARBIRDS recently sighted Commonwealth Disposals paperwork of 1949 that sold as scrap a number of WWII ex-RAAF aircraft to the firm Australian Aluminium Company Pty Ltd of Granville NSW.

The aircraft, which were then at RAAF Base Wagga NSW, totalled 439 machines in all and had to be removed from the Base within two months of the sale.
