Auf Update

There has been quite a lot of AUF activity during February and March.

The main points covered in the February Federal Council meeting of interest to readers were: The agreement to add to the operations manual the capability to endorse pilot certificates to cover special pilot skills, eg. non-aerobatic formation flying and operations close to the ground. For the FAI World Ultralight Championships in Belgium in 1987, the AUF would approve Australian pilots and request financial assistance from the Department of Sport, Recreation and Tourism. The AUF is also intending to incorporate under the ACT version of the Uniform Companies Act. It was agreed that the AUF Secretary’s position would be full-time and remunerated.
