Air New Zealand to Continue Pursuit Of Australian Domestic Rights

Canberra’s rejection of Air New Zealand’s proposal to fly interstate services within Australia is not the last word, says the airline. In mid-September, the airline was planning an exercise to take its bid through a formal step-by-step application process.

The airline cites the Closer Economic Relationship (GER) trading agreement as an aid in confronting the two airline policies, the suggestion being that the company could well fall into a different category from the normally accepted definition of an overseas airline.
