Hercules Fiasco Raises Serious Doubts About Government Aircraa Disposal Procedures

“A level of mismanagement and incompetence that’s unbelievable” was how Peter Couchman, of the award-winning ABC 4 Corners current affairs programme, described the nearly decade-old attempt to sell Australia’s C-130A Hercules aircraft.

The excellent segment on the Hercules fiasco went to air during June and if you saw it; you, like me, as a fellow taxpayer, would be very disturbed about how some major decisions are made within the cloistered walls of Canberra’s bureaucracy.

We are not the only ones asking questions. The Commonwealth Police have now launched a Federal Police Inquiry into the whole affair and no doubt in the coming months your newspaper and television screen will tell you all, as those concerned are brought to justice before a court of law.
