On the Airbands

We’re starting to get a lot of response from people who work in ATC and FIS units, so I can only guess that our occasional requests for them to contribute is working!

A few items of general interest to kick off. Charleville FIS unit has decommissioned its old VHF frequency of 125. 0 and is now using 124. 8. A new callsign for Garuda Airlines, who used to be called ‘Garuda’, but are now referred to as ‘Indonesian’. Sydney ATIS is now also broadcast on frequency 132. 7, from a base site at Woniora, in a bid to improve ATIS reception. I believe the frequency will become permanent.
