Ultralights
Auf Update
As mentioned in our last report, a new executive has been elected with the only change being that Rod Birrell is now the President. There have also been some changes in the area representatives (Tas, WA, NSW and. possibly Old). The area representatives, together with the executive, comprise the AUF Federal Council.
It is encouraging to see that members are willing to become involved in the operation of the AUF. The newcomers will bring their own enthusiasm and perspectives which can only improve the ultralight movement. However, some loss in continuity, both of background knowledge and sense of direction, will inevitably cause a temporary slowing of the established momentum. The new councillors’ positions became effective following the Annual General Meeting on July 20.
