Room to Fly – Can Our Governments Get Together?

With Canberra now revamping and reorganising, it’s time to clean up some of the obsolete regulations that stop the industry giving customers what they want, especially when they are concerned about one of our oldest constraints – charter flights over airline routes.

An aircraft knows when it passes over a beacon but it can’t tell when it’s crossing a State border. More importantly, the aircraft’s passengers can’t tell either. They really don’t want to know, except as a matter of tourist interest.
