Is the White Paper just white noise?

The Aviation White Paper, spread over 200 pages, has laid out the government’s aviation policy to 2050, including in areas like consumer protection, disability access, promotion of competition, and drones. At this year’s inaugural Australian Aviation Summit, Australian Aviation’s Jake Nelson hosted an industry panel of Christian Bennett, chief corporate affairs and sustainability officer at Virgin Australia; Emily McMillan, national assistant secretary of the Transport Workers Union; and Jesse Suskin, head of government relations and public policy in Australia for Wing, to discuss the paper and what it means for the sector.
