The Major General Aviation Addition to Bicentennial Air Show:

The Australian Bicentennial Air Show is set for major expansion, following the decision to stage an Australian General Aviation Trade Fair in conjunction with its international Aerospace Expo. The Australian Bicentennial Air Show is to be held at the Richmond RAAF Base, near Sydney, between 12-16 October; it will be the largest aviation event ever held in the Southern Hemisphere.

The Australian General Aviation Trade Fair will feature its own complex of exhibition pavilions and static display areas. They will be in addition to the international Aerospace Expo, which is catering primarily for specialist civil and military aircraft and related powerplant and avionics manufacturers from around the world. The General Aviation Trade Fair will give Australian general aviation which, after all, makes up the bulk of this country’s aviation industry- a special opportunity to sell itself to its home market and overseas visitors to the Show.
