Helicopter Regulations Controversy

The topical, and somewhat controversial, issue of modern helicopter operations was the subject of thorough treatment by Queensland Branch ALAA President David Boughen, Barrister, at recent separate meetings of both the Queensland and Victorian Branches of the Association.

In his paper· that makes compulsory reading for aviation lawyers and helicopter operators, David canvasses virtually the full range of relevant laws regulating the operation of helicopters including the ANO’s, the various Carrier’s Liabilities Acts, operational insurance and the common law liability of pilots and operators.
