More on the Possible Import Restrictions Saga

Readers will recall our July 1988 item regarding the revised DOA Airworthiness Advisory circular that might or might not allow the import and operation of potential ANA 108A type aircraft. Part of the import approval hinged on whether the type in question had been operated in relation to Australia or Australians.

A T-6 and further T-28s were cited as aircraft reported to have been denied import permits. Since that time this column has checked with Guido Zuccoli of Darwin and Col Pay of Scone and both advise no problem in relation to obtaining import permits for a T-6 and several T-28s respectively.
