Radical Approach to Sydney Airport Problems as Level of Debate Hots Up:

The Supporters of Runway Three group have launched a radical scheme to greatly increase the capacity of Sydney’s beleaguered Kingsford Smith Airport.

The plan, publicly launched on February 6, envisages closing the existing east-west (07/25) runway in favour of building a parallel north-south runway 1,500m east of the present primary 16/34.
