British Aerospace 1000

For more than a quarter of a century and through nine major models (to which must be added several sub variants), the British Aerospace 125 has been one of the leading lights in the corporate jet market, its sizing in the mid range (and the generous cabin dimensions that go with it) and constant development, keep it a firm favourite among corporate and other operators all over the world. Sales of all models are now approaching 750 and a measure of its success is the fact that more than 60% of those have been sold in the home of the ‘bizjet’ – the United States.

The current model, the 125-800, was introduced in 1984 and has become the most popular corporate jet in its class, capturing some 55% of the mid-size market against stiff competition including the Learjet 55, Cessna Citation Ill, Dassault Falcon 200 and IAI Astra.
