Snj-58 Arrives

Another T-6 type aircraft is flying in Australia. The new aircraft, VH-OVO, in fact an SNJ-5B, is owned by Mike Falls of Melbourne and had its public debut at the Ballarat Airshow in February.

Built in 1943 as Bu43647 the SNJ saw service at various US Navy stations until 1957 when it was sold as surplus. In 1960 Mr Jim Mott of Long Beach, California, bought the aircraft, now registerer N3274G, and tuned it to achieve consistently high air race placings at Reno.
