Oshkosh Report

Imagine a place where in the one day you can inspect at close quarters the Lockheed F-117 stealth fighter, fly in an authentic 1931 Stinson Airliner, watch in action such rarities as a superbly restored Super Connie, a Hurricane, Spitfire, Kittyhawk, Mosquito, Liberator and enough Mustangs, Harvards, Trojans and ilk to satisfy even the most demanding warbird fancier, in addition to being able to cap the day off with flight Concorde.

Those several hundred Australians who made the annual pilgrimage to what is the world’s largest airshow at Oshkosh, Wisconsin this year did in fact sample that and much more in just one day of the seven day convention which was held between July 27 and August 2.

Oshkosh is more than a mere airshow though.
