Aviation Trade Fair Shaping Up Well

Following on from the very successful Australian Business Aircraft Association’s series of annual conventions and the Helicopter Association of Australia’s Rototech shows, the activities and interests of allied general aviation associations are being combined this year into a joint format trade and industry show. The event is the Australasian Aviation Trade Fair and Convention to be held at the National Convention Centre in Canberra from 13-15 November.

The Aviation Trade Fair and Convention encompasses the combined interests of business aircraft, helicopters, regional airlines, aircraft owners and pilots, gliders, hang gliders, balloons and many other activities.

Much of the impetus for this trade event stemmed directly from the ultra successful Australian Bicentennial Air Show held at Richmond, which proved that aviation was not only vitally important to the long-term economic being of Australia but it also showed the world what the Australian aviation industry had to offer. It was then agreed to stage a trade and industry convention that would be optimised towards providing exhibitors with the best return in dollar terms, by ensuring that a sufficiently large professionally orientated audience was present to promote a direct interest in their products and services.
