BA Decision Likely to Revolutionise Economy Class Services

Effective January 15, British Airways rebadged its economy class services as World Traveller on long haul routes and Euro Traveller on its European services.

While this in itself may not at first sound a startling development, the longer term ramifications of World Traveller in particular is of profound importance to the entire airline industry and the reasons are simple.

In recent years BA has led the industry with firstly redefining business class as Club World and more latterly its rebadged first class services. In all cases other long haul airlines have had to rapidly upgrade their equivalent services to the new BA standards in order to be able to compete.
