Perils of the Day Long Charter

What could be more pleasant than a nice spring flight from Sydney to Taree in an AeroCommander?

Well, quite a few things, actually, especially when you have to get up at 4am to do it, and the forecast is for thunderstorms in the afternoon!

The job was to take a group (flock?) of legal eagles to Taree for a court case, to be there by 8am, wait all day while they battle their opponents, and leave around 4pm for Sydney. It would mean trying to amuse myself for 8 hours in Taree, but I had done it before, I had a good book, and with any luck I might even be able to find a quiet place and check my eyelids from the inside for cracks.
