Col Hughes has been re-elected Chairman of the Board of airline Representatives of Australia (BARA) for 1991/2, Pat Boody, British Airways Manager Airport Services Australia and New Zealand; has been re-elected Vice Chairman. The BARA executive committee for the next year will be Robyn Barden (Air Pacific) Robert Crook (Ansett) Jim Devine (All Nippon) Ed Matthews (Cathay Pacific), and Bill McCall (Malaysian Airlines). Ansett Australia has appointed former Qantas senior executive Rodney Robson as State Manager, Victoria. Terry Wesley Smith has left McDonnell Douglas Helicopters to take up the position of Sales Manager Aerospatiale Helicopters, Bankstown. Warwick Condon has been appointed FAC General Manager Commercial. Phil Walker has assumed FAC management responsibility for the operation and development of Brisbane International Airport. Graeme McMahon has been appointed as Chief GM – Aviation in addition to his existing role as GM Ansett Australia. The new position reflects his authority over all of the ATI aviation activities. Masami Seki has been appointed as the new regional manager for Japan Airlines. Gerry Blackshaw is the new chairman of the General Aviation Association, replacing Brian Nicholson who has retired. Jim McCrae is the new chief executive of Air New Zealand. Peter Ryan is the new GM of Eastern Australia Airlines replacing John Rowarth. Andrew McMillan has been appointed PR manager for Hawker Pacific. John Wild is the new regional manager for Continental whilst in the US, Hollis Harris has resigned as chief executive of the airline
