Kitty hawk Sold

The Curtiss P-40E Kittyhawk being restored by Nelson Wilson of Melbourne has been sold to the Australian War Memorial.

The AWM has long wanted to obtain a Kittyhawk for its collection and it would appear that Nelson’s happened to appear on the market at the right time. The Kittyhawk, RAAF serial A29-133, was found derelict by Nelson Wilson in 1960 on a block of land in the outer suburbs of Melbourne.
