The Gulfstream/Sukhoi Model S21-G supersonic business jet project is now subject to a worldwide market feasibility study. If built, the aircraft will be capable of carrying 10-14 passengers some 7,400km at a speed of Mach 2.0, cruising at up to 61,000 feet.

US general aviation aircraft shipments continue to show decline, to a large extent as a result of Piper’s bankruptcy and virtual suspension of production.
The third quarter of 1991 has revealed that 237 aircraft were shipped (10. 9% down on the same period of 1991) whilst the value of those aircraft dropped 9. 8% to SUS401. 6m. The total comprised 136 single engined piston aircraft, 12 piston twins, 54 turboprops and 35 business jets, the latter itself a 14. 7% decrease compared with the July-September period of 1990.
