Tamworth Fire and Rescue Goes:
Tamworth airport is to lose its Rescue and Fire Fighting Service (RFFS) at the end of next month due to the airport no longer meeting the criteria for the provision ofsuch services. The withdrawal ofjet operations by Eastwest Airlines has resulted in a decline in airline traffic to the port. However, the RFFS will not be finally withdrawn until arrangements have been made with the local council and fire brigade plus aircraft operators and other interested parties for the provision of satisfactory alternate emergency services
