The Hawker de Havil/and owned Australian Aviation College relies largely upon a fleet of Socata products in addition to the nimble Mudry Cap (pictured) Duchess twin and a Cessna Citationjet.

Australian Aviation College Planning for Growth
The focus of airline pilot training has changed dramatically in recent years. As airline passenger traffic grows, and with it the number and complexity of airliners, the need for airline specific pilot training has expanded.
The time has long since passed when airlines could recruit only ex-military pilots, or enthusiastic private pilots, in sufficientnumbers to meet their flight deck crew needs. Not only is there an inevitable dropout rate to be borne (some otherwise excellent pilots simply don’t have what it takes to integrate into a highly disciplined crew environment under the command of a captain), the recruiting needs of many regional airlines are too great to be met by their home countries’ military and GA communities. Indeed, many regional airlines could absorb their national air force’s annual output of trained pilots every year – which the air forces quite naturally wouldn’t like.
According to David Robson, old style pilot training systems are no longer capable of turning out the standard of pilot the airlines demand, at a cost they (and ultimately the travelling public) can afford to pay, and in sufficient numbers to meet fleet expansion needs. A former RAAF test pilot, Robson is the business development manager of one of the Pacific Rim’s most successful commercial flying training schools, Hawker de Havilland’s Australian Aviation College (AAC). He is convinced that the needs of the growing airline community are for fully integrated pilot training from ab initio standard through to type conversion.
