Twenty four aircraft make up the New Allocations section this month and with the same nwnber listed in the deletions section the overall nwnber of aircraft on the register remains static at over 9,300. However a general trend is for larger types to be sold overseas while the smaller, often homebuilt, types are becoming more popular in Australian skies. Several new commuter aircraft are listed including another Saab 340B, LIII, for Hazelton Airlines and another Swearingen.

Metroliner, UZP, for Jetcraft of Brisbane. Jetcraft use their Metros for overnight cargo runs and charters and are presently leasing Swearingen, N211CA, pending the delivery of a fourth aircraft. The new machine will be registered UZA and will replace N211CA working from Cairns on a mining contract. Oxley Air- lines have taken delivery of three new aircraft recently, two brand new Beech 200 Super King Airs, OXA and OXL, for their Lord Howe Island routes and Beech C99 OXC.
