Organisers of Avalon’s Australian International Airshow 2011 have been “delighted” with a strong crowd turnout at this year’s event, highlighting the possibility of a potential record figure.
“While we won’t know final figures for a little while, we do expect our total attendances across the full six trade and public days of the event to exceed 180,000,” Airshow CEO Ian Honnery said.

“Good weather, a fantastic line up of aircraft on static display and in the flying program, along with all the celebrations associated with the RAAF 90th anniversary has contributed to an outstanding event.”
The biennial airshow will be staged again at Avalon Airport in March 2013.
