The Federal Government has signed an inaugural Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on air travel with Belgium.
Federal Minister for Infrastructure and Transport Anthony Albanese said both Australian and Belgian airlines will now be able to offer up to seven passenger flights a week to and from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, unlimited capacity for all services to and from other Australian airports, and up to seven weekly cargo flights between the two countries without limits on route or traffic rights. “The opportunity for additional cargo flights will improve the flow of high-value commodities between Australia and Belgium,” Albanese said.
