After three decades up in the rafters, the iconic PBY Catalina A24-385 flying boat ‘Frigate Bird II’ has been lowered down to eye level at the Ultimo Powerhouse Museum. The move was made on 6 October, to celebrate a brand-new exhibition honouring the aircraft. Frigate Bird II is known for achieving the first return round-the-world trip between Australia and South America in 1951.
