Tiger Airways has announced a sponsorship deal with the Wests Tigers NRL team for the duration of the 2011 season, becoming the official airline partner and home match sponsor for tonight’s clash with Newcastle at Sydney’s Leichardt Oval.
“There are obvious Tiger ‘challenger brand’ synergies, but the association also makes sense given the number of flights we have in and out of Sydney on a daily basis, making Sydney a virtual hub for Tiger Airways,” Tiger head of marketing and communications Vanessa Regan said.

Wests Tigers general manager, Sales and Marketing, Brett Clarke said the club looked “forward to working with Tiger Airways for the remainder of the 2011 season with a view to a continued association next year and beyond”.
