Qantas is streamlining its domestic fare structure, moving from a five to a four tiered fare system from July 7.
Instead of today’s ‘Red eDeal’, ‘Super Saver’, ‘Flexi Saver’, ‘Fully Flexible’ and ‘Business’ fares, the new fare levels will comprise Red eDeal, Flexi Saver, Fully Flexible and Business.

Qantas says Red eDeals will be its “lowest year round fares”, while Flexi Saver fares offer “a greater range of flexibility”. Fully Flexible fares will offer “complete” flexibility with the option of full refunds.
All Qantas domestic fares include a 23kg, one piece checked bag allowance, complimentary meal or snack, and inflight entertainment except on QantasLink flights.
As well as the revised fare levels, from July 7 Qantas will also introduce frequent flyer scheme changes. All domestic economy fares will be eligible for business class upgrades using frequent flyer points, while all flexible domestic fares will be classed as ‘economy’ for status credit earning purposes.
