Boeing and All Nippon Airways (ANA) have announced the completion of service ready operational validation (SROV) for the 787 Dreamliner in Japan.
Boeing and ANA pilots flew Dreamliner ZA002 to four major airports across Japan as part of SROV, including Osaka (Itami and Kansai), Okayama and Hiroshima. Together with Boeing, ANA ground crews were also on hand at each port to undergo simulated maintenance training in order to build up experience on the 787, validating over 100 procedures alone during the process, including towing the aircraft, fit checks with ground support equipment, working with electronic flight bag data and maintenance actions.

787 services and support vice president, Mike Fleming added that the aircraft “performed as expected” during SROV, with good cooperation between the Boeing and ANA teams.
ANA, which has ordered 55 787s, intends to fly its first scheduled service with the Dreamliner on either the Tokyo Haneda-Okayama or Tokyo Haneda-Hiroshima route once aircraft deliveries begin in the coming months.
