A former Aircraft Research and Development Unit (ARDU) F-111 has begun its final journey to RAAF Base Edinburgh, leaving RAAF Base Amberley via low loader truck.

F-111C A8-132 was used extensively by the RAAF Edinburgh based ARDU for weapons testing for the type between 1979 and 1988, with over 30 major trials conducted. Following completion of trials, A8-132 was returned to the main F-111 fleet and resumed duties as a strike aircraft.
