Marking the city's place as a hub of international trade, Cathay Pacific unveiled its new 747-8F as the "Hong Kong Trader."

Cathay Pacific unveiled its new 747-8 Freighter today as part of a ceremony marking the completions of its updated cargo terminal at Hong Kong International Airport.

The new 747-8 was shown off in special livery marking it as the ‘Hong Kong Trader’, in recognition of the city’s place as a hub of international commerce.

Boeing began delivery of the long-delayed jumbo jet in October. The company hopes to start delivering the passenger version of the 747-8, known as the Intercontinental, during the first quarter of 2012.
