The Republic of Korea Air Force has taken delivery of its second 737 based AEW&C. (Boeing)

Boeing has delivered its second Peace Eye Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft to the Republic of Korea Air Force.

The Peace Eye is a modified version of the 737-based design developed for the RAAF’s Wedgetail AEW&C. Another variant known as the Peace Eagle has been ordered by Turkey.

Korea’s second Peace Eye was the first modified into an AEW&C by Korean Aerospace Industries at its facility in Sacheon.

Based on a Boeing 737-700, the aircraft is equipped with an advanced multirole radar and 10 state-of-the-art mission crew consoles able to track airborne and maritime targets simultaneously.
