Embraer’s aircraft deliveries hit a three year low in 2011, though the company was buoyed by a late year surge in demand for its regional E-Jet airliners.
The Brazilian planemaker ended the year with deliveries of 105 commercial and 99 executive jets, missing by 16 its target of 220 deliveries. The shortfall came largely from cancelled orders for private jets.

Embraer delivered 246 aircraft in 2010.
The world’s third largest planemaker behind Boeing and Airbus, Embraer reported a fourth quarter surge of 45 order for its E-Jets . Year end E-Jet sales totalled 124, a 28 per cent increase over 2010.
In November, Embraer CEO Frederico Curado said the company would meet its 2011 revenue estimates of between $5.6 and $5.7 billion. The company is due to release its full-year financial results in March.
Embraer reported a year end firm order backlog valued at US$15.4 billion.
