Bristow Helicopters has started construction on a new hangar and heliport at Karratha Airport to support its offshore helicopter operations there.
“This new facility will help us to continue providing passengers with a reliable, safe and smooth journey to and from work,” said Bristow’s Australian business unit director Allan Blake.

“The heliport, in particular, will make our passengers’ journeys easier by enabling them to embark directly from our facility to their offshore workplace, rather than from Karratha’s main airport terminal.”
The hangar will be able to accommodate five helicopters and is expected to take five months to build.
From Karratha Bristow provides helicopter support for oil and gas operations by major clients Apache Energy, Santos and Vermillion, having lost a major Woodside contract to rival CHC in 2010.
