The day after announcing $100,000 to support the development of Edenhope Airport in Western Victoria, the state’s aviation minister has allocated $565,000 to further develop Stawell Airport.
Centred around improvements to allow all-weather and night operations, the grant will complete Stawell Airport’s master plan and will significantly improve airborne emergency access and local operations. A portion of the funds will also be used to complete runway and terminal upgrades. The funding represents the third and final installment of grants to Stawell Airport from the state government’s $20 million Regional Aviation Fund.
