Airbus Military and Indonesia’s PT Dirgantara have signed an agreement to jointly upgrade the C212-400 light transport aircraft.
The agreement includes the joint development, manufacturing, commercialisation and support of the aircraft, which will be renamed the NC212. The aircraft, to be certified by EASA and FAA, will feature new digital avionics and autopilot systems and will be offered to military and commercial customers, the latter in a new 28-seat configuration.

The NC212 project is the second teaming agreement done between Airbus Military and PT Dirgantara and follows the recent order for nine CN295s by the Indonesian military. Airbus Military has estimated the potential market for the NC212 at between 400 and 450 aircraft over the next 10 years.
