Melbourne Airport is the Australian Airports Association (AAA)’s capital city airport of the year, the AAA has announced its annual airports of the year awards.
Melbourne won the accolade for its new international arrivals and improved baggage facilities. Major airport of the year was won by Sunshine Coast airport for its development of international air services, while regional airport of the year was bestowed on Learmonth Airport for the introduction of a heliport operation.
