Pacific Simulators supplies 737NG sim to Airline Academy

The Airline Academy of Australia (AAA) has acquired a 737NG simulator from Pacific Simulators as part of a training program to help address the shortage of ‘airline ready’ pilots in the region.

The New Zealand-based simulator manufacturer is installing a PS3.5 synthetic training device based on the 737-800 at the academy’s facilities in Archerfield Queensland to provide jet entry training covering jet orientation, multi-crew and instrument training.

The device is a fixed base simulator that includes a fully enclosed scaled cockpit with a high definition wrap-around visual system that can be loaded with detailed scenes of airports worldwide.

The PS3.5 is certified by CASA as a category B synthetic trainer.
