The ADF has signed a $107 million, five-year contract with BAE Systems to provide Aviation Technical Training at RAAF Base Wagga.
The contract will cover about 900 students annually and provides for initial training for technicians and maintainers in all aviation-related trades, as well as a range of postgraduate courses, Minister for Defence Material Mike Kelly said in a statement announcing the contract.

BAE has sub-contracted the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and Pennant Pty Ltd to support the contract, the statement said.
“The design of the new contract provides BAE with a high level of autonomy and responsibility for the delivery of the training,” Minister Kelly said. “BAE will be introducing a contemporary training environment supported by modern training systems.”
