Hot on the heels of its recent sale to an Australian-based flying school, Pacific Simulators (Pacsim) has signed a deal with ADF Airways in Miami, Florida for the purchase of the latest PS4.5 Flight Training Device based on the Boeing 737-800.
Due to be installed at ADF Airways in the second quarter of 2013, the PS4.5 device will be evaluated by the FAA under application as an Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD). The PS4.5 is a fixed-base trainer based on the Boeing 737-800. Its scale replica, fully enclosed cockpit includes accurate representation and functionality of all aircraft panels, systems, avionics and controls such as glass cockpit displays, flight management computers (FMCs), autopilot flight director system (AFDS), TCAS and GPWS. The high definition (HD) visual system includes a 180° wrap-around curved screen with Lockheed Martin’s Prepar3D scenery database including over 24,000 airports and cities.
