The imaginative advertising campaign is sure to create attention.

Low-cost airline Scoot has launched a cheeky advertising campaign targeting this year’s federal election.

The campaign – It’s Abbott time you got a Ruddy good fare – offers cheap flights on Scoot’s services from Sydney and Gold Coast to Singapore and beyond to Bangkok, Taipei and other destinations.

“With political advertising going into overdrive, Scoot thought giving Australians a cheap option to get out of the country would be timely and would possibly encourage a few absentee votes being lodged from exotic destinations across Asia during this years Federal election,” the airline said.

The advertising campaign is running on large format billboards, street furniture, online and mobile media in the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sydney markets, giving voters something to smile about.
