Strong 787 deliveries during the third quarter have seen Boeing deliver 170 commercial aircraft during the third quarter. The manufacturer delivered 23 of the type, bringing to 40 the total so far this year.
Boeing’s 737 family continues to lead deliveries, with 112 of the venerable aircraft delivered in the third quarter of this year, brining total deliveries for the 737 to 330 so far this year.

Twenty-six 777s were accepted by customer airlines during the quarter, while five 767s and four 747s were delivered.
In defence programs, Boeing delivered 11 Apache helicopters, 15 Chinooks and two C-17s. Twelve F/A-18 variants were delivered together with two P-8s.
Meanwhile, Royal Brunei Airlines has become the lastest customer to receive the 787, with the aircraft undertaking a 6,540nm (12,112km) nonstop flights from Seattle to Brunei last week.
The airline’s 787 will begin flying regionally to Singapore on October 18 with a long-haul service to London, via Dubai, set to begin on December 1. Royal Brunei will introduce the 787 on flights to Melbourne during the second quarter of next year.
