The Queensland government has invited carriers from across Australia to attend industry briefings on regulated air routes in the state. The briefings will be held in Brisbane on March 17 and Townsville on March 19.
Following a review of government-contracted long-distance passenger services in regional Queensland, the state government announced in February that three routes are to be opened up to competition from January 1 next year, while seven routes will remain regulated.
