Perth joins Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney as the fifth airport with both a Qantas Club and domestic business lounge.

“From a dedicated work zone with meeting room and conference facilities to a dedicated dining area offering a ‘dish of the day’ and all day barista service, the business lounge will give our most frequent flyers the ability to work or unwind in luxury,” Qantas domestic head of customer strategy Philip Capps said in a statement.

The domestic business lounge was open to Qantas business class customers, platinum and platinum one Qantas frequent flyers, passengers with equivalent status with Emirates as well as those with oneworld emerald status.

May be worth learning how to enter a unicode superscript ² for areas. It is Alt+0178 on a PC. m2 is very unprofessional for a national publication.

Thanks for the advice. The error has been corrected.

it is about time. At the moment the Qantas Club in Perth resembles a drinking hole for the FIFO miners
with drunken behaviour and foul language. It is also overcrowded at times, and not a pleasant place to wait for a flight. The last time we were there it stank of stale beer, and my wife and I prefer not to go there.

It’s a bit hard to moderate the truth.
Perhaps I should have said; “with drunken behaviour and foul language being not uncommon “.

    says:

Long overdue I would say, and as someone else said, its often over crowed, full of FIFO people, and generally run down. I think like the rest of Perth Airport, Qantas got caught out with huge increase in numbers of passengers
using the airport and their lounge area. Its not like the lounge’s used to be a nice pleasant place to wait for your
    flight.
