Both Airbus and Boeing announced orders for their single aisle airliners on December 23.
Chile’s LAN Airlines placed a firm order for the purchase of 30 Airbus Family A320 aircraft, taking its total Airbus orders to over 100.

Meanwhile, Reunion based Air Austral has ordered two Boeing 737-800s, valued at US$152 million at list prices. They will replace one 737-300 and one 737-500.
The order follows the airline’s earlier purchase of two A380s, announced at November’s Dubai Airshow.
