Guggenheim cancels part of 747-8F order

Freight airline Guggenheim Aviation Partners (GAP) has cancelled two of the four 747-8F freighter orders it was holding.

The cancellation comes after the airline CEO had previously told Flightglobal and ATI that existing 747 freighters, many of which are currently laid up in desert boneyards due to the downturn in air freight business, may be more accessible, and that there “are a lot of good quality aircraft in the desert.”
