Raytheon Australia launched its new Training Support Network on January 28 at the Pacific 2010 Maritime Exposition, which it says will bring together the capabilities of local skilled small and medium businesses to meet the training needs of the Australian Defence Force.
“Raytheon has a great pedigree as a mission systems integrator for training and we provide full-spectrum training and support to government and military customers worldwide. In Australia our experience extends to the Hornet Aircrew Training System, our Electronic Warfare Training System and the AWD Training System,” said Raytheon Australia’s general manager, business development, Gerard Foley. “Our new Training Support Network will draw on this pedigree and complement it with particular capabilities offered by small business.

The military will also be assured that our Network members have been chosen on the basis of Raytheon’s quality assured supply chain management process including the undertaking of important technical assessments. This will demonstrate that these organisations not only meet Raytheon Australia’s requirements but the regulatory requirements of the ADF including those under its Defence Training Model.”
