Eva Air plans too add an extra three flights a week to Brisbane from October and tweak flight schedules to offer its Australian passengers more beyond connections from its Taipei hub.
The frequency boost, from two flights a week currently, means the Star Alliance member will operate five times a week to Brisbane, its sole Australian port, when the new schedule kicks in on October 5.

All flights are operated with Airbus A330-200 equipment configured with 252 seats – 24 in business and 228 in economy.
In terms of the schedule change, BR316 will switch from an overnight flight currently to a late morning departure from Brisbane and 1845 arrival in Taipei and will operate on every day except Mondays and Thursdays.
The BR315 service from Taipei to Brisbane, which will operate every day except Wednesdays and Sundays once the new flights begin, remains a red-eye flight that arrives into Brisbane a little before 1000.
“The airline is also adjusting its Brisbane departure time to give Australian travellers easier, one-stop connections to its global network, including a route system within Asia and Mainland China that is one of the best in the industry,” Eva Air said in a statement.
In addition to the potential for extra visitors from Taiwan, Brisbane Airport chief executive Julieanne Alroe said there was also the benefit of extra cargo capacity to Asia.
“Eva Air has always been one of BNE’s best cargo handling airlines. This extra flight capacity comes with a boost to cargo capabilities for Queensland exporters to extend the reach of our goods around the globe,” Alroe said in a statement.
Eva has served Brisbane for almost 23 years. It previously also flew to Sydney and Auckland.
