Cabin crew at British Airways will hold a three day strike from March 20 and a four day strike from March 27, which are expected to cost the airline up to £140m.
The Unite union which is representing cabin crew, says that BA has put forward a new formal offer to staff ahead of the planned strike, and will put it to a vote during this week, but has recommended it be rejected. So far, only the two strikes have been planned, with the union noting that it could call further strikes if a new deal cannot be reached, although this would not be over the peak Easter season.

BA said that it was “extremely disappointed” with the action of the cabin crew, but has put in place contingency plans, including training staff from other areas of the company to fill in as cabin crew during the strikes. It also said that it will wet lease 23 aircraft from charter companies to help run flights from Heathrow over the seven days.
